A MILESTONE WAS WRITTEN in the young history of the Church of God International last October 7, 2004. Once an impossible dream, Members Church of God International Presiding Minister Brother Eli Soriano’s vision of reaching out and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ across the globe is coming to reality.

Church of God International shake hands with one of the world’s leading operator of direct broadcast satellite, GlobeCast, for worldwide television programming in North America.

Brother Eli handed over the first-tranche or partial payment of a $65,000-global broadcast service or $10,000 to eventually give us the opportunity to be heard globally, in turn expanding our satellite footprints from Asia to the North American shores.

However, pending the last installment of our desired service, GlobeCast could not begin distributing "The Old Path Channel” via the company’s Direct-to-Home and WorldTV DTH platform on Intelsat Americas 5 (IA-5).

As a subsidiary of France Telecom, GlobeCast is a world’s leader in providing satellite services. It operates a global network of satellite distribution platforms for DTH and cable broadcast, enterprise media and advanced IP-based content delivery.

The company’s global presence includes 17 offices as well as 15 teleports and technical operations centers throughout America, Europe, Asia, Australia, the Middle East and Africa. The core strength of GlobeCast is its five-continent satellite and fiber network that includes 15 teleports and technical operation centers in leading media hubs in Europe, America, Asia, Australia and Africa.

GlobeCast operates proprietary leases on more than 30 satellites around the world on 10 leading satellite systems.

Just imagine how this expanded satellite coverage could help the Church carry through its vision and obligation to fellowmen all over the world through the use of mass media and the Internet to propagate the untarnished and pure Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

It will be recalled that even before year 2000 Brother Eli has been telling the congregation of his grand vision to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ not only in the Philippines but to other citizens of the world.

During those times it was just a dream. It was an impossible dream, an unreachable star.

To date, the Church pride having over 45 international locale chapters from different key points of the globe, such as Japan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, South Africa, France, Germany, Canada, New York, Hawaii, and Australia, among others.

Our flagship television program, Ang Dating Daan became the longest-running religious program in the Philippines known for exposing the truths and anomalies in religions.
