The Old Path is a Bible Exposition on-air program to promote and encourage the careful reading and understanding of the untarnished Gospel of Christ in the Bible.
Now almost synonymous with “exposes and the study of truths based in the Bible,” its host-evangelist Bro. Eli Soriano engage viewers in truthful and sensible exposition of the corrupt ways and wicked practices in the religious world. Since then, "Ang Dating Daan" has became an eye-opener to many people who are unwittingly deceived by wealth-conscious pastors and preachers.
In 1983, the controversial program jumpstarted as a 30-minute block timer in IBC Channel 13 amidst a shoe-string budget. With the persistent efforts by the Church’s presiding ministers and with the collective support by members—Ang Dating Daan was able to withstand more than 20 tumultuous years of baseless criticisms and threats beside head-to-head competition with other religious programs and mainstream local television shows for viewers and ratings.
At present, the program is aired live via satellite through the facilities of Philippine ultra-high frequency channel 37 of UN Television, and simultaneously heard in select powerful radio stations such as RMN, DZRH and 100 Radyo Natin station.
The all-Filipino language program added new segments using the English language to cater to our foreign-language speaking viewers. These programs include “Truth in Focus”, “Biblically Speaking”, “How Authentic the Bible is”, and “Bible Guide”.
